On October 24, 2019, the IXth annual renowned international symposium in Law – Business – Economy took place in the High Tatras of Slovakia (Štrbské Pleso). With the active participation of our office representatives, a significant part of this symposium was devoted to arbitration. Professor Alexander Belohlavek moderated the first panel dealing with the topic “Autonomy of Parties and Arbitrators” and then presented his contribution on “Challenge of Arbitrators in Arbitrations Pending with Permanent Arbitral Institutions and in ad hoc Arbitrations” in the second panel dealing with the topic “Institutional Arbitration vs ad hoc arbitration“. In the same (second) panel, a lawyer from our office Tereza Profeldová delivered also her presentation on “Remuneration of Arbitrators in Proceedings before a permanent arbitral institutions and in ad hoc arbitrations”.
