Prague Rules on the Efficient Conduct of Proceedings in International Arbitration

On December 14th, 2018 the Prague Rules on the Efficient Conduct of Proceedings in International Arbitration were launched in Prague, Czech Republic. It is a unique project, practitioners from more than 30 countries participated in its creation for over 10 years. Prague Rules implement and adapt the inquisitorial model of civil court proceedings to arbitration. Prague Rules received the GAR Award for Best innovation of 2018 in the beginning of April 2019. Our law firm was in on the ground floor. We have not only participated in drafting the Prague Rules every step of the way, but we also become a depository for the Prague Rules,  along with the signatory documents, incl. declarations of permanent arbitral institutions recommending Prague Rules and their commitment to apply them in accordance with the consent of the parties.
