The Bulletin of Advocacy (“Bulletin advokacie”) of the Czech Bar Association published an article by Prof. Alexander J. Bělohlávek and JUDr. Jan Šamlot from our law firm on “Consequences of the EU sanctions regime on the practice of advocacy (Legal services and the right to effective legal protection from the perspective of EU sanctions)”.

Current developments in EU sanctions legislation significantly restrict lawyers from providing legal services. However, it does so in a way that interferes with the basic elements of the legal profession and denies the basic principles of advocacy.
